Mannywellz's "Mirage" is a Beautiful EP

Word-of-mouth is the oldest tradition of passing information from one person to another and this was exactly how I was put on to Mannywellz. It was only a week ago that someone introduced me to Mannywellz, particularly his latest EP, Mirage. Since that day, I've had this project in my daily music rotation. Opting for a more R&B, Afro-soul feel on "Mirage" in comparison to his last project SoulFro, which possessed more hip-hop elements, Mannywellz shares stories centered around the theme of love on this EP. On his song Floating featuring the talented Nigerian-sister duo of VanJess, Mannywellz sings:
"Time is never a factor when we're together
As I hold you in my hands
And my fingers do a dance
Scrolling up and down, oh baby, you might be dangerous
So much more to explore
You make me fiend for more"
From start to finish, "Mirage" is a beautiful EP. Mannywellz ends the project with his record A Million featuring Wale. Within the theme of love, there's the less glamorous aspect where, sometimes, you have to let that love go so you can focus on loving yourself. Our storyteller ends his EP with that thought in mind. In a statement about the project, Mannywellz said, "Managing feelings and emotions is a lot in this digital age but I hope you can find and love yourself through these stories."
You can stream the EP below. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
