Joyce Wrice's Debut Album Has Arrived

Joyce Wrice has been on the scene, crafting her sound over the past 6 years. From dropping covers of Aaliyah on Soundcloud to the numerous singles and guest features throughout the years since, Wrice has shown immense growth in her artistry. All of the work throughout this time has cumulated to the release of her debut album, Overgrown. Featuring the likes of Kaytranada, Masego, Freddie Gibbs, Lucky Daye, and more, the 14-track project gives off the feeling of sounds we heard from early 2000s R&B.
"Overgrown" starts off with the bass guitar-backed song Chandler before transitioning seamlessly into the Lucky Daye featured record, Falling In Love. One of my favorite songs on the whole project is track 3, On One featuring Freddie Gibbs. Wrice's light, sultry vocals set the tone right from the beginning before Gibbs closes out the track in fashion.
All in all, Wrice delivered on this debut album and we're excited to see where she takes us next in her musical journey. You can listen to entirely of the project below. Enjoy.
