Jack Harlow Drops Off A New Album, “Come Home The Kids Miss You”

The last time Jack Harlow released a body of work was in 2020—but it feels like almost a decade already. Released on May 6, 2022, Come Home The Kids Miss You is worth the wait. Harlow featured Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Drake, and Pharrell Williams on the album. "Come Home The Kids Miss You" features various styles and cadences from the Louisville native, showing how prolific Harlow can be. Sometimes his lyrics come off as mere bragging like the track I’d Do Anything To Make You Smile”. At other times, he seems unsure and maybe insecure like when he asks in Young Harleezy, “Am I fancy enough, am I dancing enough?”
The 15-track album comes to a close with “State Fair” which clearly shows how hard Harlow has been working and why he deserves to celebrate. By far the most controversial track on the album was “Poison” which he did with a little help from Lil Wayne. On the track, he compares women to poison and talks about how he is immune to their advances. “Come Home The Kids Miss You” shows Harlow has come of age to now have a feature slot for those he must have once looked up to. If this album is a meal, it would be a balanced diet for rap fans to savor.
