Blxst Drops New Project, "Before You Go", Just In Time For Summer

It felt as though winter had no end in sight. Weeks upon weeks of subpar weather, but just as the tides turn to warmer shores,
Blxst comes back with a new project. Following up his last solo project
No Love Lost, Blxst releases his latest tape
Before You Go. Featuring
Zacari,
Arin Ray, and
Rick Ross, the Los Angeles artist continued to build upon his signature sound as he touches on his overall growth throughout the tape.
On his record
Still OMW, Blxst humbly boasts about the grind to get to where he is now, but at the same time, knows there's still more work to do. "Feelin' like Russ, I went gold out the basement / Get it by the cases, runnin' Evgle chains by the dozen / Told gang that I love 'em, it's a whole celebration / Barely gettin' started but still gotta embrace it," he raps on the second verse. From
Mozzy and
Buddy to
Murda Beatz and more recently
Kehlani, big names have called upon Blxst to add his talents to their records. If this is just the start, I can't wait to see who he works with in the future.
One notable callout for "Before You Go" is how Blxst went into this tape with a more collaborative mindset. Usually serving as the sole producer, he instead brought in other producers, such as ThaRealJFKbeatz, ThaRealCstylez, Mike & Keys, and more, do showcase their artistry. “For No Love Lost, I was producing everything. For Sixtape 2, I produced everything as well. For this one, I leaned back. I produced on here as well, but I opened up to working with other artists. So, you just hear me experimenting overall, more than anything. But still being hands-on, of course", he said in an interview.
"I ain't heard one bad Blxst song" is still one of the truest statements I've ever heard, and Blxst proclaimed it himself on "No Love Lost." "Before You Go" is another tape Blxst can hang in the rafters as we'll have this on repeat all summer long.
