WHEN IT’S DARK OUT (ALBUM) – G-EAZY

B PATT • Dec 04, 2015
Man. Today is a momentous day as I am thrilled to be bringing you one of (if not) thee most anticipated album of 2015, coming from the local Bay Area native, G-Eazy. This is When It’s Dark Out. The 26 year old rapper/producer has had it a long time coming and this sophomore album serves as his foreseen destination to complete stardom. Through a whopping 17 full length tracks and no intermissions, G-Eazy brings us on one hell of an emotional journey, taking us through his greatest triumphs from all of his success, to his deepest and darkest tribulations that he has faced throughout his life. On a variety of music from upbeat typical Bay Area slaps full of braggadocios verses, to soft intimate ballads lined with extremely personal affairs, Gerald lets us have it all. Throughout this entire project we see an immense amount of star studded features from names like Big Sean, Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Kehlani, Marc E. Bassy and a surprise appearance from IAMNOBODI. And you already know it wouldn’t be right without him calling upon some of the Bay’s biggest legends such as E-40, Too $hort and Keyshia Cole to complete this outstanding masterpiece. A few of these songs were previously released, but for the most part it’s all brand new material. Some of my favorite tracks include Drifting, Random, Order More, Calm Down, Sad Boy, Everything Will Be OK, and For This, but honestly they’re all dope. It is truly amazing to see how far G-Eazy has come along on his continuing journey as an artist and it’s only going up from here. So with that being said, congrats to G-Eazy on the great success of this phenomenal album and to the rest of you, enjoy the show. Please be sure to support all the hard work put into this and purchase the album on iTunes here. Happy Friday.

Goddard and Cat Burns started the new year with a heater! These two went in and might have just made one of the best dNb tracks to come out this year and we're barely getting started. Wasted Youth is about an old lover venting their frustrations about the end of a long-term relationship in their cherished youth. Our youth is a highlight we all remember throughout our lives and Burns packs the feels and emotions that stir the pot of memories and emotions those who experienced this type of breakup might feel. Her voice is booming and beautiful throughout and, all in all, Wasted Youth is an emotional, high-energy hit that is ready to be blasted across the airwaves in the year to come.
