After being established as one of the dopest up and coming emcees in the industry with his stellar Under Pressure album last year, Logic returns with his sophomore effort titled The Incredible True Story. Making the announcement that he was releasing the follow up to his debut in early September, the Maryland native dropped absolute heat for singles in the meantime with Young Jesus, Like Woah and Fade Away. The 18-track is journey in the future riding co-piolet with the narrator Steven Blum to “Paradise.” This LP has his right-hand man 6ix finger prints all over it as well as nearly half the tracks on this album are produced by Logic himself. Continuing the trend of having very little to no features dating back to his Young Sinatra mixtape days, he calls upon Big Lenbo, Jesse Boykin III, Dria and Lucy Rose for assistance on a handful of songs. Album of the year? Maybe or maybe not. We just have to wait and see but I know for certain, for anyone questioning if Logic is of the upper echelon when it comes to artists in the rap game, this album should silence that chatter.
