It's a Celebration Every Time Smino & Monte Booker Link Up

Since dropping his last mixtape,
She Already Decided, in 2020,
Smino has released a few loosie records here and there, such as
Donny Outhaway and
MLK Dr. His most recent appearance was on the
Judas And the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album as he connected with
Saba for their record
Plead the .45th.
On Tuesday, the St. Louis artist connected with his long-time producer Monte Booker for his latest single, Rice & Gravy. Smino raps about his St. Louis roots and what made him the man he is today. Prior to the release, Smino took to Twitter to voice his frustrations about the difficulties he's had releasing music lately, saying, "dawg I went thru so much bullsht tryna release music over da past couple years I’m jus happy af to begin my new journey tonite... I feel like a brand new artist rn.." Hopefully, this is just the first of many new records we get from Smino as we head into Summer.
