The day has finally arrived. When it became rumored that Lil Wayne was going to release a second installment of his No Ceilings now mixtape series fans around the world including myself lost our shit. In my opinion No Ceilings was not only Wayne’s greatest mixtape release, but quite possibly the best mixtape released of all time. It was one of the first time and artist decided to do an entire mixtape featuring production of already popular songs and in the case of a few records songs that were absolutely huge at time. He proved versatility, the ability to make those records his own and completely different from the original ones. In most cases one could give two fucks about who actually made the original record in the first place. It was truly that great of a project. While no ones sure of Wayne’s plan for his forthcoming album it’s clear that No Ceilings 2 will undoubtedly hold fans over and have them begging for more. Two records have already leaked from the Mixtape including a remix of The Weeknd’s hit record The Hills that is an absolute fucking hit. The official record drops tonight via Live Mixtapes at 5:00 pm PST. No Ceilings 2 includes features from Mannie Fresh, Future, Yo Gotti, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Shanell, Eurom, Baby E, Lucci Lou, Turk, Hoodybaby, King Los, & Steph. In star-studded fashion Lil Wayne has proven that the throne remains his.
