Mercy (Cheryl Flip) – Kanye West

This song has some aggressive beat that doesn’t stop being fun and boosting, it’s very similar to the original song by Kanye featuring Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz, only that with the lyrics shortened. It is more centered around the rhythm; it is heavy but has some extra electronic touch, it is danceable, it makes you feel invincible but light. Like you could go hopping from one club to the other all night long while this song stays playing.
The original song with the same title is very sexy, talks about that lush lifestyle, and is very dynamic. This version is as well, it makes you want to twerk and then throw your hands in the air. It’s perfect to put at a party, although it might get a little out of hand fast. Have you ever seen any Spring Break movies? They should have this song playing in some of them, ha!
It has a really cool energy that makes you want to be the DJ just to see what you can do with this mix. Is very creative in the sense that is so different from the original, it feels faster, stronger, and more unconventional even for the rap or hip-hop genre, but it keeps its core of being a song to play when you just want to have a good time with zero stress or worries. The extra techno touch gives it a rare sound, in the sense of unique; it’s between psychedelic and the simple charm of high notes that provides that “feel good” sensation when you are listening to them, but they blend perfectly with the low vocals like they are both highlighting, contrasting, and uniting each other. The result is very interesting. It’s overall an amazing mix with very unusual details and everyone should listen to it, especially if they are into Dance music.
