So it has finally come. If you’ve been waiting for DJ Snake‘s debut album, here it is! Over the past few years, DJ Snake has taken the entire industry by storm. It all began with Turn Down For What and since then, he hasn’t looked back. Now known as one of the biggest in the industry, DJ Snake does not disappoint with his first ever album release.
Encore is a 12 track long LP which features other giant players from the EDM scene as well as the Hip-hop scene. From Skrillex, George Maple and Yellow Claw to Young Thug, Migos, Travis Scott, Swizz Beatz and Justin Bieber, you can already tell this album is gonna be nuts. From beginning to end, Encore is filled with a wide variety of genres. Not only will you hear his signature hardstyle bass-filled sounds, you’ll also hear some future-bass, funky electronic disco and classic EDM dance music.
I’m gonna start it off easy and talk about the songs released prior to Encore. Middle with Bipolar Sunshine for those who haven’t heard might be one DJ Snakes biggest tracks yet! Talk with George Maple comes out with a very different vibe compared to Middle but is nonetheless a hit record. The slow, vibey feel it carries is too smooth! And last but not least, Propaganda. Man… This track was unreal. If you asked me what his crowd would get the most hyped to, Propaganda would be in the conversation because of its wild drop.
As for the new tracks, well… They’re all great but I’m really feelin Sober with JRY, Pigalle with Moksi, Future Pt 2 with Bipolar Sunshine and the final track of the album, Here Comes The Night with Mr Hudson.
Sober gives off a dancehall vibe that I fell in love with immediately the first time through! Moksi’s Pigalle is a nasty, dubstep banger that kind of reminds of an older, first generation dubstep song. Future Pt 2 is the track that carries the funky electronic disco vibe I was talking about earlier and it is f*cking amazing. As for the last track, he and Mr Hudson absolutely murder the track. I think this might be the biggest track of the album that no one is going to know about for a while. I love biebs and my dudes Migos, Travis Scott and Young Thug, but out of the unheard tracks, this one might be the hidden gem of the Album since Mr Hudson doesn’t have the same name recognition as the other dudes.
Regardless of whether which song is going to be THE HIT of the album, DJ Snake has nothing to worry about for a good amount of time because this album is a HIT. Enjoy Encore below and let us know what your favorite track is in the comments below. Cheers!
