As promised, Otown’s very own, Marco, drops his long awaited Blue December mixtape just in time for Christmas. As expected, Marco delivers on an exceptional body of work, showcasing his versatile skill set as an MC. From his different flows to his clever word play, this dude can hang with the best. In this 9 track project we hear a variety of productions from slowed down slaps like The Drought, to more upbeat hitters like Blue. No matter what type of instrumental, Marco is able to consistently adjust to make any production fit him. Out of the 9 songs, 4 were previously released in anticipation of this project, but that leaves 5 brand new songs for us to enjoy for the first time. There are only two features from Keano $pitta and Kidway on the track Shift. However, on the production side of things, Marco recruited a solid amount of different producers to handle his beats. This tape serves as the first installment of his annual mixtape series so be on the lookout next year. All in all this was a great addition to the rappers catalog as he continues to grow in his young career and I looked forward to seeing him thrive as he progresses going into the new year.
