The Butcher's Back with "Tana Talk 4"

We were all introduced to Griselda in one way or another. For some, they've been fans since Westside Gunn dropped the first tape in his HWH series back in 2012 while others may have got put on from Conway The Machine's From a God to a King album in 2020. For me, Benny The Butcher's Tana Talk 3 was my official introduction to the Griselda world and I've been a fan since then. The raw story telling about his days of hustling on the streets of Buffalo felt authentic and hit harder with every bar that he said throughout the project. Now, Benny's back with part four of the series, and it's just as good if not better.
On "Tana Talk 3", Benny felt like he was finally getting his well-deserved recognition in the game and compared it to how Jay-Z finally got his with his song '97 Hov, rapping "I was born in '84, but I’m like '97 Hov / I went platinum off a brick, I cooked on 97 stoves." Four years later, Benny's dropped several projects, toured the world, and is now feeling like Jay-Z in '99. "'Cause this year I feel like I'm '99 Hov / I'm breakin' records, settin' milestones, out in Hawaiian time zones", he raps on Billy Joe off of Tana Talk 4.
Connecting once again with
The Alchemist,
Daringer, and now
Beat Butcha for the production, Benny looked to share the growth he's experienced with his fans for the 4th installment. “With Tana Talk 4 I have a chip on my shoulder. No one thinks I can recreate that energy. I’m not trying to create the same energy, but TT3 was who I was then, what I was going through. The things you hear me talking about on Tana Talk 4, is me now and who I’ve become", he said in a statement. Featuring the likes of
Stove God Cook$,
J. Cole,
Boldy James and more, "Tana Talk 4" is a must-listen for any hip-hop fan. Benny's rap ability is at an all-time high and he continues to prove why he's one of the best rappers today.
